Time to remove the blight of Photo-suck-it from more of my old trip photos (especially since in this case some of the photos seem to have gone missing from the original Photobucket album :-\ And that's still a better fate than what I've been seeing lately)... This time, it's a trip to north Thailand and the Royal Flora Exhibition from this week in 2006 (in fact, the exhibition visit was on this exact day of that year :-)) At the time, I posted just five pictures from the event (which I'll indicate), but today, here's a more detailed look at the trip :-)

On our way to the exhibition

My ticket to a full day of fun (posted in 2006)

Marigolds... yeah, I filmed these because that's also the name of where Flora is from (posted in 2006)

We're pretty crazy about alternative fuels over here (posted in 2006)

The big picture (posted in 2006)

Instead of the typical men and women shape, these toilet signs differentiate gender by hinting at traditional dressage :-)

Nifty trash bins

Tulips from Holland, which I'm guessing I took since it had been a few months since my sister moved there

The royal hall (since featured on TAR)

Inside the royal hall: We love our king A LOT (posted in 2006)

When you've spent all day walking around the various exhibits, it's time to get a traditional foot massage :-)

Everyone gathering around the fountains for a night show...

...which really doesn't come out well with the consumer cameras of the time

Blurry photo of the light signage at the exit saying Sawasdee Chao (greeting/farewell in Northern Thai)
Tomorrow: More new pictures from the trip :-)
