Next day, we left Vietnam. Another shot of the really big flagpole in Hue while leaving Hue

(NEW) The western end of Highway 9 (and the last marker)

Here's the duty free on the Lao side of the Viet-Lao border, replete with nifty tri-lingual sign.

(NEW) Welcome to Laos from telecom service provider ETL

(NEW) The Banghiang River near Xepon (guessing from the time stamp)

Lunch in Phine and then back across the Thai-Lao bridge. Welcome back!

And check out this nifty quadrilingual sign at the intersection after the bridge: Thai, English, Lao, and Vietnamese.

The last evening of the vacation was spent at the Indochina market in Mukdahan, with an early dinner.

And one last shot of the bridge before taking the overnight bus back to Bangkok.
Tomorrow, a bonus section :-)
