A year to the day after ordering my first analog camera, as part of the 11 November online sales, I ordered myself an Ektar H35 camera for 10% off from its usual THB2000, getting it for THB1800 (USD 61 down to 55) I decided to use bulk-rolled Vision3 500T as the first roll (THB 210, USD 6.15), which I obtained from the lab I have do my C-41 and B&W films... but not ECN-2, which goes to a nearby lab down the street (THB 150, USD 4.60 per roll) With half-frame camera, you get twice the pictures, albeit with twice as much grain (like a bigger version of 110), but <hipster>you don't shoot film with a focus-free camera for sharpness, man</hipster> ;-)
The main issue for this camera is that some of the pictures appear skewed off center to the left compared to what I had in my viewfinder, and since I only mentioned it was ECN-2 film to the lab, some of these pictures probably haven't gotten the color correction that a dedicated half-frame dev would have gotten, and came out looking overexposed (I suppose I could get them rescanned at my normal lab, but ECN-2 lab returned the film as bare film in a canister instead of the usual recut strips)

The camera has been designed to resemble the Instamatic, except that it takes regular 35mm film instead of their custom 126 format

First picture to come out fully: Road near a dental clinic where I had my teeth done

Entrance to a market near the dental clinic

Shrine in my house... Now, this picture shows up the issue with this camera, since I distinctly aimed it to be dead center (you'll see a few more photos like this)

Inflated flower on the rooftop balcony at my local shopping mall (a photo of another set of inflated flowers was affected by the off-center issue as well)

Banana tree at my house

Buffalo temporary art installation at Samyan Mitr Town (it would get into the news a few weeks later after it was felled over by a drunk foreigner trying to ride it)

Royal statues at my old university

University scenery (very off-center)

University rugby field (less off-center)

Two more off-center shots of the Samyan Mitr Town art installation from the previous post

Overexposed-looking shot of the university faculty my parents both studied at

Samyan Mitr Town Xmas tree and decorations

Mahanakhorn building, the new tallest building in Bangkok (taken from a passing van, so quite a bit blurry, but see hipster note above ;-))

Photo shop in Salaya, with an old Kodak Gold III ad on the door, but don't expect them to develop your film these days, LOL

Peering into a coffee shop in Nakhorn Pathom made from an old Lockheed Tristar 1011 airplane, registration HS-AXA, still wearing the livery of its last airline, Thai Sky Airlines, with a big top window where the third engine used to be (again affected by off-center viewfinder as I intended the door to be at the center; also here's the famous flight blogger Sam Chui posting a throwback review of a 2005 trip on its sibling)

Ducks near the coffee shop

Sun in the clouds, Nakhorn Pathom

Another shopping mall Christmas tree

Peekaboo kitty under my parents' car

Grasshopper on cement floor

Traffic jam

A Buddha sculpture at university (seriously affected by the off center viewfinder)

Presenter at a seminar I attended during my first week at my new job

Christmas tree at the hotel at the seminar

Birds hanging out on my house's TV aerial (they've since built up a nest there!)

One of several photos from a mall mini-concert (taken with flash this time)

Scenery from a relative's house that I visited for a wedding party on New Year's Day 2023

Colorful zebra crossing near Samyan Mitr Town (slightly off-center)

Arriving at my previous office to tie up some loose ends (the car on the bottom left of the photo manages to give it quite the vintage look ;-))

Last photo on my first HF roll: Chinese new year decorations at Samyan Mitr Town (again, affected by the off-center viewfinder)
