The Editor's Spotlight: The Princess' Ball

3x01: The Princess' Ball
The first episode is more notable for the lack of differences (it still has the Beta Academy mention, and I must not have been the only one who expected it to play a major role in the plot), two of the differences are still worth talking about:
Unedited: The villain is named Valtor.
Edited: The villain is named Baltor.
The reason this is notable is the mark the villain gives looks like the letter V. I haven't seen many comments about the mark not making sense, and I suspect it's because the 4K episode aired a while before the original version (don't ask how that happened, though).
Unedited: At the pizzeria, Stella tells Chimera: "That mud brown is a very good colour for you. I suggest you stick with it!"
Edited: Stella tells Chimera: "That pre-teen meets goth look is very appealing on you. I suggest you stick with it!"
In her review, TF noted that Chimera's wearing a Gothic Lolita style, and was a bit critical that Stella, who's all about fashion, did not recognize it (also pointing out that no, just calling it "goth" does not count), and I imagine that retaining the original line would not have raised such an issue (or at least toned it down)
Unedited: The last time we see Musa with her original pigtails, she's only saying she's heading to the beach with Layla
Edited: She explicitly mentions she's having her hair done
Incidentally, in an email interview conducted early in season 3, TF listed Chimera as one of her favorite characters, saying "She's gorgeous, sexy, selfish and adds an element previously unseen: the knowledge that there's another fairy school out there. I can't fully judge her because we haven't seen the entire season yet, but I adore her so far."
Spoiler alert: One of the things she was excited for, the new fairy school, ends up never panning out :-\ And ultimately, neither did much of her initial promise :-\
