Quick addition to EPG fails

I've written about TrueVisions' EPG fails twice before on this blog, and turns out I have an extra surprise up my sleeve :-)

In my first post I mentioned an example I didn't have a photo for:

Discovery Channel aired the post-apocalyptic reality show The Colony, but the description was for a different reality show about settling in 19th-century colonial Australia

Well, I managed to stumble upon a photo of that summary (from 2010) squirreled away on my hard drive...

Summary for The Colony on Discovery Channel Asia: "Follow a group of volunteers as they attempt to recreate life in a 19th-century colony in Australia. An Aboriginal family takes on the traditional lifestyle of their ancestors."

The above summary sounds like it would have been more on-brand with the "traditional" trappings of Discovery Channel, but that belongs to a 2005 reality show produced by SBS Australia (alongside Ireland's RTE and History Channel UK), whereas they were in fact airing their own 2009 reality show :-) Just imagine how people who had not seen the trailer for the show and expected a relatively sedate history-based show might have reacted to, say, watching people using gas welders to help put together an electricity generator in a post-apocalyptic wasteland (an actual plot I saw on the show, BTW)
