Spidersnaps: B&W autumn vibes
Time for another roll of B&W film beyond the usual suspects... This time around it's Agfa APX 400, purchased for THB 288 (USD 7.9) as part of a batch of 3 rolls, shot with Kodak M35 between September and October 2023 :-) Agfa used to be one of the major color film manufacturers in the analog era, and kept selling Vista (though produced by Fuji) all the way until 2018... These days, the only Agfa-branded films remaining are Copex Rapid, APX 100, and APX 400 (Agfa also make aerial film, which other companies have converted for 35mm use... and I bought a roll of converted aerial Agfa film as part of the same batch, which I'm currently using in my H35 :-)) According to Analogue Wonderland it's "a relatively simple film, it is one that you can throw into your camera and shoot fun things without worrying too much about the results because the emulsion is so flexible." Most of the results seem to agree with this assessment :-)

Flooded road and sidewalk next to Mitrtown after a really torrential afternoon rain, where the picture was so underexposed that only car lights and their reflections in the water came out (compared to the digital shot made moments later; it was somewhat darker than that in person)

Uni graduation: Gift merchants, Faculty of Law atmosphere, and across the street near the Faculty of Science
(I'm old enough to have received my diplomas in July, rather than October; the uni switched from 2015 onward)

A better brush with fame, with Beam Kawee and wife at an event to promote getting rid of dengue-carrying mosquitoes, presented by an insecticide company

(ETA: Just picked up the film from the lab, and I saw two frames come out completely blank, next to two frames that showed the symptoms of a partially seized shutter... I know I took a photo of a different photo lab near my uni, and I'm guessing I took a selfie as well [as I always try to get a selfie on each roll])
