Spidersnaps: Hooray for the beach
Our university office announced a beach outing for October, so I decided to get myself a roll of ISO200 film, but instead of using cine film like last time, I decided to get myself a conventional C41 film, in this case Kodak Colorplus, for THB 350 (USD 10.10) and ran it through my Kodak M35 :-) It's pretty much the cheapest fresh C41 color film around, and Analogue Wonderland calls it "a great budget film for analogue photographers and a best-seller around the world", and has "the aesthetic that many people think of as archetypal ‘color film’"... And given it's called Colorplus, you'd expect vibrant colors, and the pictures that got enough light seem to bear this out (though I suspect at least some of it is simply having one stop less overexposure than my usual ISO400) So here we go with my first C41 ISO200 :-)

Partially affected by leader, a color shot of the new garden at uni

Colleagues in pink shirts galore :-)

First stop was a cave, so here's a shot of a hole to the sky, because there wasn't much to shoot inside on film

Beach near a seafood restaurant just before dinner

Street in front of the hotel the next morning

Beach, with a merchant swamped with inflatables :-)

Papaya salad break on the beach after seminar sessions, with colleagues now in blue shirts (the seminars were internal matters, and for that matter indoors, i.e., not suitable for lower speed film)

Two blue shirts sitting on bean bags on the beach

Slightly underexposed beach volleyball, even with flash and a wider aperture
(Speaking of wider aperture, here's a hidden feature I happened to notice: Turns out that when you turn on flash, the M35 camera also switches in a larger aperture... Most of the sites I could find (including Emulsive) specifically say that the M35 only has a fixed aperture, but I happened to notice the aperture switching in when I switched the flash on... This site does acknowledge the change in aperture (F/10 in flash, F/11 to 16 in non flash), and another "Kodak" camera has this feature as well)

Rainy day returning to Bangkok, with clouds touching the top of the hills (the latter at a school for blind students)

New bridge across the river being built on the expressway

Back to normal life: Another angle of the new uni garden

Halloween inflatable pumpkin

Pet festival at the local mall (assisted by the wider aperture in flash mode)

Local mall balcony view

Halloween at Samyan Mitr Town

A different angle of the stone war monument

Jumping practice at the uni stadium

Real flowers on the fence at my home

Fake flowers on the walls at the Faculty of Law

Samyan Mitr Town prepping up itsChristmas Pinkmas tree (a little ahead of the curve, it seems they were :-)) with pink hanging lights and a little "playground" to take photos with :-)

School construction site mural

Late afternoon shot of congress

Late afternoon shot of the finished Pinkmas tree

Finishing with the 5th anniversary of our local mall
