Here's a new summary. (I have quite a backlog to work through. Just give me time, okay?)

Previously on Winx Club: here you go.

So anyways, we pick up the action on Sky and Brandon running to their ship and discussing the girls' chances and seeing the aviary tower blow up. You know what? Let's just skip to where the new footage starts.

So, Bloom grabs Stella as she's falling out of the tower, and she discovers that the "rain" is dark magic that's weakening her shield (the spell Flora has put around her) and making her lose her grip on Stella. Bloom calls out the other girls to help, and they come out with a Flora shield as well. Their shield (which is also apparently supposed to slow their fall) also disintegrates quickly in the "rain", but they use their wings to give Stella a safe landing.

Tecna: "I know that it was last minute and all Stella, but how about a thank you for saving your life?" Stella: "I almost wish you hadn't. Look at what's happened to me." *sighs* Your dad is about to marry an evil dominatrix-to-be, and all you care about is that you're fugly? Seriously. Bloom promises that they'll get Stella turned back to normal.

Flora: "Everyone talks about sunny Solaria, but no one mentions this dark rain thing!" Stella is angry and wants to know who did all this, and Bloom promises that they'll help her find out.

The two boys (the other boys and Mirta are still nowhere to be seen) are coming for them. Stella doesn't want Brandon to see her like this (except that, hello, Brandon was like totally guarding her last time), so she hides behind some tree, as the boys talk to the girls about the commotion of the party. Bloom mentions Radius ordering the guards to arrest them. Brandon says that's impossible, since he's Stella's dad and all. Bloom gets a bit hesitant as she explains that Stella couldn't do anything because Radius and the guards were under some kind of spell, and then the rest of the story.

The guards continue to look for the monster and the girls. Sky: "Are you telling us everything?" Brandon: "Where did Stella go?" The guards come and fight the boys. Bloom wants to wait for Sky, but Tecna says they can make it on their own, and recommends that they need to get Stella out of here. They leave, but not before Bloom throws a transmitter thingy to Sky.

Bloom tells Stella that the boys are keeping the guards busy. Stella: "Good. Let them distract the guards. I know a secret way out of here. Follow me!"

They're not out of the woods yet though (literally!), since the guards have released the hounds to chase them. Bloom: "It's no use trying to use magic against them. It won't work in this rain!" Stella: "Well then, we'll just have to run faster!"

Stella then trips. Uh-oh, this can't be good...

Uh, I stand corrected. The hounds have stopped, and are licking Stella. "They recognized me despite how I look." As she gets up, she adds, "My father had given me these dogs for protection. Okay, good dogs. Go home now." Okay, time to go looking for that secret passageway!

Forest. Stella: "There's this secret passage I used to take when I wanted to sneak out of the palace grounds to go dancing downtown." Bit later, Stella declares that they've arrived at the passageway, but Flora and Musa don't really see it: Flora: "Uh Stella, where is it?" Musa: "Do we need a spell or something to see it?" Stella points out that it's in that hollow tree. Cue flashback!

"I came across quite a long time ago. I was just scampering about, you know, being my usual happy self, when suddenly, there it was. A great big hollow tree. As I got to have a better look at it, I realised it was connected to an ungerdround that led straight to the fountains at the royal palace. I was so thrilled at my discovery, that I decided to tie a little ribbon to one of the tree branches, so I would always know which one it was. Needless to say, I snuck out through this tunnel to go to dances and parties... more often than I should have, one might argue."

And might I add that Stella looks very pretty in this flashback. Much better than in 2x12 anyways. Anyways, let's go into the tunnel.

Tunnel. Damp. Dank. Flora finds it very creepy. Musa thinks some animal made this. Stella: "It was never fun walking through it." A Tecnaboot sinks almost completely into the mud: "How did you avoid getting all dirty???" Bloom: "She probably used some kind of dirt deflection spell." Stella honestly doesn't remember all this mud, or that bottleneck for that matter. Tecna uses her scanner to ascertain that the bottleneck is indeed deep, so they're all going one at a time. Tecna's first.

Musa: "Great, now our dresses match our shoes."

At the other end of the narrow passage, Stella's stuck. You might expect some kind of statement about obesity, and you'd be wrong (in more ways than one), as Musa just says, "It's Stella. She can't get through. We've got to help her. C'mon!" Stella: "I don't care how, just GET ME OUT OF HERE!"

As the girls help Stella, there's an ominous rumbling. Luckily, this part of the tunnel has held up, so the girls keep going.

The ominous rumbling gets more noticeable, and we find out why: Here comes a big-a$$ boulder! Hands up if you had the Indiana Jones theme running through your head as the girls get chased by the boulder ;-)

Fork in the tunnel! Stella: "This wasn't here before! It looks like someone or something dug another tunnel!" Tecna makes Stella make a decision based on where she'd head if there were party, and she decides to go left. They go in the left fork, and the boulder plugs up that fork.

Fork. Bloom notices a bunch of giant holes and asks if Stella remembers this. Stella: "Actually, I don't think I remember any of this."

Hello, giant spiders! Stella: "And I DEFINITELY don't remember these GIANT SPIDERS!!" Flora: "GIANT SPIDERS?! What did you get us into this time?!"

Chaos! Mayhem! Tecna running herself and her helmet into a wall and getting knocked out! (I've always thought that her helmet is actually some kind of spell-casting computer that makes her spells more powerful or something.) Oh yeah, and the other non-helmeted fairies all get caught by the spiders and stuck in the spiderwebs. "Sorry I'm not home right now, I'm walking in the spiderwebs..."

Tecna has regained consciousness (er, rebooted? ;-) ) and sees the other girls caught up in webs of stickiness. She knows she has to do something A-S-A-NOW. So she holds up a nifty-looking orb to create an illusion of the other girls. Hey, whatever works for you, Tec. Anyways, this distracts the spiders and allows Tecna to use her powers to slice off the webs and free the girls. Tec doesn't even have time to explain what just happened, as they need to run from the spiders. Bloom points the way.

Uh-oh. H2O. Luckily, Bloom points out that they can use a magic bubble to breathe, like when they used one to go underwater to rescue Musa back in season 1. Nice callback, I say.

Everyone dives in. But just as the girls (bar Stella) have positioned themselves to cast the spell, they get leeches on them, so they end up sinking to the ground instead. Meanwhile, Stella swims around a bit and finds a wall with a small beam of light poking into the water. She kicks out the wall, and bingo. Hello, fountain! Bloom notices that the current has washed off the leeches... Stella: "Yay for me!"

Okay, so now Bloom is using her powers to give Stella... a poncho to hide in. Now she's sending the boys their coordinates so that they can pick them up.

Andros. A sunned up Valtor's back to full strength, but now he's thinking about the girl he saw at the palace. Valtor calls in the Trix. Stormy: "Hey, Valtor, drop the attitude, will ya?"

Darcy: "You don't look very tan. Did the sunbath work?" Valtor shows off his powers. Icy: "Well, I guess it did."

Val shows a Trix the picture of the girl he saw (strangely, even though he only ever saw her in her casuals, the picture he shows is that of her Winx form) and asks them who she is. The Trix explain. Stormy: "She's powerful, but nothing we can't handle." Yeah, right, seeing that Bloom and that little clique of hers has just wiped the floor with you twice now.

Since Darcy just mentioned the Winx, Valtor then asks about them, and Icy calls them "A bunch of goody-goody meddlers." Darcy: "Next time we see them they're SO done for." The witches laugh.

Valtor notes that the girls' magic is powerful: "I don't care what you do with the others, but DON'T TOUCH BLOOM. She's MINE!" HUH.

Ship. The girls are back in their casuals, as Bloom asks Sky that he needs to contact the school, while Stella continues to hide in her poncho while Brandon is talking to her.

Alfea. The girls are walking into the library. Bloom's sure that Concorda has a counterspell for this. Stella: "I can't keep hiding from Brandon. Sooner or later he's gonna get to see me." And who should they be walking past but Knut the janitor? Hey, Knut! Long time no see! Well, not really, since he's been visible in a lot of S2 eps, but he hasn't really spoken since the end of S1. But anyways, Knut looks like he's getting lovey-dovey with Stella (CLUNK!) and grabs some flowers in a conveniently-placed vase.

Flora: "We could put a spell on him to hide your looks, so he'd only see your inner beauty." Stella: "Oh great. Now I'm not so sure my inner self is any prettier than my outer self."

Here comes Knut. But Bloom pronounces his name "Newt" instead of "Nut" as I'm used to hearing... I guess since they haven't used him in such a long time, the English dubbers forgot how to pronounce his name and just went by what they use in Italian.

Anyways, here he is with those flowers of his for Stella. Er, except that the actual blooms are missing. "Sorry, I got hungry on the way and ate the flowers." Stella: "Flora, DEFINITELY put that spell on Brandon." HEH!!!

Back to business. Hello, pixies! We see Livy footstamping some papers and Lockette and Piff carrying books. Lockette: "Ew, these are really heavy." Okay, so now it looks like they've just found their counterspell. Take it from here, girls...

Bloom: "The Mirror of Truth is kept in a cave on the far side of the Barrier."
Musa: "Where is the Barrier?"
Concorda: "It's the mountain range outside Magix. The mirror has the power to break the spell, but you have to figure out how to use it."
Stella: "Concorda, are you sure this mirror thing will work?"
Concorda: "Yes dear. But it will be a dangerous journey. The mirror is guarded by white giants and other sentries. They won't be easy to get past."
Stella: "Sheesh, when is anything EVER easy around here?"

BWAH.

Stella: "Oh well, what does the mirror look like?"
Concorda: "You'll know it when you see it."

Insert double entendre here.

Knut is offering to come along, but Stella thinks it's better if he stayed behind.

Stella enters her dorm room. Knut sneaks around listening at the door as Stella whines about missing Brandon.

After he celebrates a bit, Knut knocks before opening the door and barging in.

Stella: "Why are you here?"
Knut: "To comfort you. You can put your arms around me, but before that, I want to formally court you."
Stella: "Well, if you want to court a girl, especially a princess, you must have grace and excellent royal manner."
Knut: "Oh, I can be royally mannered!"
Stella: "And when you approach a girl, you must do so with style and elegance, while maintainng a perfect posture and showing great support."

And watch Knut contort himself while Stella is saying all that. HEE. Anyways, Flora comes in. Knut falls over and Stella says goodbye to him. (And all this time, they pronounce his name "Newt". Hmm...)

Flora and Stella talk about this. Stella: "I suppose he can't resist my new look... but Brandon CAN NOT see me like this!" Flora reminds us about the spell she's putting on Brandon to make him see her inner self instead.

Outside at the ship. Stella asks Flora if she's cast the spell on him yet. Flora goes mm-hmm, and Stella decides to walk over to Brandon.

Brandon: "Hey gorgeous."
Stella: "Hooray! Guess I am pretty inside."
Brandon: "Wha?"
Stella: "Oh. Nothing."

The ship takes off, and we're soon in the mountains. Stella's getting anxious. Tecna says that they're approaching the sector where the cave is located.

Clunk noise. Timmy: "Hey, I didn't do that. I think there's something outside the ship." Hey, hello, Timmy! Where were you at the party? Bloom notes that these must be those white giants.

Timmy notes from the instrument readings that atmospheric conditions are moderate, but ice is building up on the hull. Musa: "Reminds me of something Icy would do." Flora decides to break the ice with her Solar Sprouts. We don't get to see it though, because Timmy immediately nixes the idea, citing that the ice temperature is too low. Tecna adds, "It's magical ice, Flora. Your sprouts will never be able to take root."

*sigh* So I take that we're not going to get to see this nifty new spell of hers? I think that's the first time that's ever happened. And besides, Flora already gets too few chances to shine as it is, and now they're taking one away from her? No wonder why Flora's hardly getting any love.

Brandon: "We better find a solution soon. Magical or not, the ice is getting thicker and heavier." Musa suggests that Bloom melt the ice with her Dragonfire. Bloom: "Good idea. Magic Winx!" But then Sky stops her because he thinks it's too dangerous to go out because they don't know the white giants' power.

Outside, we can hear the engines straining under the weight of all that ice. Bloom: "I've got an idea but you're going to have to trust me." Sky: "I trust you." Bloom: "We do a power dive. The friction will create heat and melt the ice." Sky: "That might work. Hang on everyone!" Bloom: "Just don't pull up until I say so." Stella: "I don't think I'm going to like this very much..."

And here we go with the dive. Stella: "Not liking it. Getting dizzy. Getting nauseous!"

Brandon tells Sky to pull up, and he says not until Bloom says so.

Ship continues to hurtle towards the ground. Stella: "World is spinning! Gonna hurl!"

Sky asks Bloom if it's okay to pull up, and she says not yet.

Tecna is getting nervous. (And given that this plan seems more suited for her than Bloom, she has every right to be.)

The girls are frantically telling Sky to pull up. The ice is breaking off the ship, and Bloom finally gives the okay, and Sky pulls up, just managing to avoid a hill. The girls are cheering.

Stella: "Is it over yet?"
Sky: "Yes Stella, it's over. And Bloom, you were a-ma-zing."

Tecna notes that the cave is within sight, but Bloom sees more trouble brewing in the form of griffins. "I hope they're not what I think they are."

The griffins are quick to attack the ship: "Then they ARE what I thought: More guardians of the mirror."

And we'll leave you here for now. I have exams this week and next (plus vacation), so it might be a while. (For that reason, also expect a small delay in my podcast.)
