Yesterday, I discovered I was suspended by YouTube after they received a 3rd-party copyright claim on one of my videos. Which I'd totally understand if it were simply me uploading episodes and stuff like that. But the video under question was a mashup of TV show clips with different music. Which would put it in the same territory as AMV's. And my mom has recommended that I don't pursue this issue further. Reading YouTube's counter-claims filing method policy thing, I'm getting a bit scared too. I mean, I have to give up some of my personals just to file a counter-claim. I have contacted them about this issue via their regular contact form (they actually have a section for suspensions and wrongful removal of videos), but anyone out there have any recommendations of what else I should do?
