TAR21: The finale

Time to bring it home.
Leg 11:
1. Next stop is Loire Valley in France, first by plane to Barcelona, then by train, during which the goat farmers overhear the other teams talking about their little alliance. It's another self-drive leg, as awaiting teams at the train station are a bunch of Ford Escapes. With the new Ford Escape, one can kick the bumper to open and close the back gate, allowing for one to, say, load crates in the back of the car, like the contestants are doing :-)
2. First stop, a palace for a clue pick up. While the other teams make random woofing noises while looking for a dog statue, the goat farmers show off their knowledge of French by asking for la chien :-) Speed Bump for Natalie/Nadiya is lacing up some woman's corset, but first they have a few words with the goat farmers, even going as far as to accuse Josh of faking his ankle injuries from the last leg (!)
3. While the twins lace a corset, the others have a clue pick-up at Leonardo da Vinci's final resting place: a Detour between plowing and chopping up meat for hunting dogs. Chippendales and Trey/Lexi do the former without much incident, while N/N and the goat farmers choose to feed the dogs, and spend much of the task trash-talking each other, with the goat farmers finishing ahead of N/N.
4. Roadblock at a mushroom cave: "Who's a fun-guy?" Pick three specific types of mushroom from the cave. There's plenty of running in night-vision and getting lost in the caves. Chippendales are the only one who get the wrong mushrooms, while the others get it right on the first go. N/N finish 10 minutes ahead of the goat farmers, and Josh is hoping that they'll get lost on the way to the pit stop.
5. Pit stop at some palace. T/L end up heading to the wrong palace, allowing the Chippendales to win the leg, and win a pair of Ford Escapes (which especially pleases one of them because he was hoping to get his mom a car). Josh gets his wish, as although the farmers have a few problems negotiating a detour (the regular kind), N/N apparently head in the wrong direction altogether. So your finalists are the Chippendales, Trey/Lexi, and the goat farmers.
Leg 12:
1. Final destination is New York, starting with a clue hidden on a poster at the Coney Island boardwalk in front of an amusement park. It's rather well-hidden (and in clue-envelope-style yellow and black rather than the expected yellow and red), resulting in teams taking a long time searching for it (all the teams even head into the amusement park at some point!) before noticing the signs in front. Next stop, some dockyard for a Houdini-inspired Roadblock: get out of a straitjacket, then get a bungee fall. The latter part is supposed to be a surprise, but only Trey seems to actually be surprised by it.
2. Next stop, America's first pizzeria, Lombardi's Pizzeria. Lexi worries that it will be eating pizza (a la season 6's finale), but it's just delivering 10 pizzas (total) to three addresses. T/L get it done first go, goat farmers have to re-do two of the deliveries, but still finish 2nd (and even quip about having a pizza later) because the Chippendales have a slow cabbie. Next stop, the UN building.
3. For the whole season, we've been given the pit stop greeters' hello and goodbye greetings in their native language in yellow subtitling. It was widely speculated that the final task would tie in to this, and sure enough, the final task, a 2nd Roadblock ("Who's good with words?"), is to match the hellos and goodbyes, printed on pieces of tarp, to the appropriate flag. Naturally, the teams get France and Spain off the bat, and from then on it's more or less brute force since none of the teams could be bothered to remember the greetings (Chippendales thought that Phil was just being cordial in explaining what each word meant :-D) Lexi gets beaned by one of the stands to hang the words from (ouch!) while the Chippendales have problems reading the Russian Hello greeting off the tarp :-D
4. More than 2 1/2 hours pass, day turns into night, and eventually the goat farmers (who brag that they're good at languages, see last leg) have all the words attached to the right flags, so they head to Gotham Hall to take the win, making them the 2nd team (after Kisha/Jen from Unfinished Business) to win the race without winning any of the previous legs. 2nd are Chippendales, who are at least happy to have won the cars (well, one of them is, the other not so much), while T/L are 3rd.
