The Amazing Race Asia, season 5: Leg 2

spiderbraidsThanks to reruns, time to fill a gap in my TARA 5 posts...
Ep 2:
1. First task is to determine the name of their next destination by looking for arrows pointing to letters in signs at Jakarta's Mini Indonesia park, while biking a given route... (And it turns out that Tara Basro helped co-host all of the Indonesia legs, not just the ones at the end)
2. Bandung is the next destination, which contestants get to via product placed Grab taxi, and where there is a Detour between carrying eggs in a basket in a bike, or flinging darts from a local kind of dart gun... JK/Mike take the bikes and have to do it twice to get their required amount of eggs (and actually walk their bikes down the 2nd go round), while the dart shooting is pretty finicky...
3. Previous leg's winners Alphaeus/Brandon are 1st coming out of the bike detour, and at this point they seem poised to either dominate the race or at least have a nice long run... Next stop is a tea farm, and first to the farm are Yvonne/Chloe, where the Roadblock is "Who likes a good character?" which ends up involving looking for a puppet hidden among the tea leaves. Sounds like potential for much place swapping, but the biggest place swap involves both the aforementioned A/B and eventual winners Parul/Maggie cabbing themselves to two different wrong locations (A/B are an hour away from where they should be [!])
4. Pitstop's right next to the field, and Y/C are the winners of the leg, in the process moving up from last to first, while much to Allan Wu's slight bewilderment, A/B end up being eliminated Amy/Daniel style (really, the circumstances are quite similar ;-))
