10 years ago today, while I was still in college, I went on a trip to China with my dad :-) Now, for the first time ever online, a selection of pictures from the trip...

We begin at the airport, where our flight to Guangzhou is scheduled to leave at 8:40am, but just to be on the safe side, we arrived at the airport at just before 5:00am (yawn)

Gate sign, and our plane :-)

And away we go :-)

In-flight meal, and note the Boeing 737-700/800 safety card in the pocket seat

Landing at a pretty smoggy Guangzhou Baiyun (improved contrast)

2010 saw Guangzhou host the Asian Games, and we saw a few ads for the upcoming games in the airport as we were passing through

Our connecting flight was the 2:40pm flight to Sanya. While we were waiting, we had a light lunch at one of the cafes, and I remember ordering a BLT sandwich... and getting a sandwich that was missing the Lettuce and the Tomato LOL

Airplane snack: The omnipresent peanuts, and a box of herbal tea

One of Sanya's most famous attractions, the Guan Yin statue, as seen on the approach to Sanya Airport (improved contrast and color)

And arriving at Sanya Airport (improved contrast and color)

Our hotel, the Yuhai International Resort
Rest of the photos to come tomorrow :-)
