Next stop, the police station, where as you might expect, Hiro has a hard time convincing the cop on duty about his predicament... (And once again, Disney has decided to name a minor character after the crew :-))
A good chunk of the scene is spent on Bay taping up the holes in his arms, with that hilarious deflating sound :-D Cop's not very convinced about Hiro being attacked by someone using ESP to control flying robots, so Hiro tries having Bay back him up, but he suddenly has a low battery, leading to some weird behavior :-D While the cop is getting out a form for him to fill out and suggesting calling his parents to pick him up (seems like Hiro's too bothered by everything else to point out he lives with his aunt ;-)), Hiro rushes out with Bay, dragging the tape dispenser along :-D
After a brief exchange outside the cop shop, we cut to Hiro andDrunkLowBattery!Bay arriving back home, and Hiro says: "Okay, if my aunt asks, we were at school all day, got it?" "We jumped out a window..." "SHH! You can't say things like that around Aunt Cass... Shh..." Hiro goes up the stairs... And then Bay falls face first on to the stairs :-D
Upstairs, Cass can't wait to hear all about Hiro at college, and she's making her chicken wings... Bay: "Wheeee!!" :-D
Hiro, still under the idea that he has to cover up Bay's reactivation, hurriedly rushes Bay up the staircase to his room, while Cass talks up her wings :-D Cass turns around and is surprised that Hiro isn't there... or rather, he's quickly coming down the stairs from his room :-)
As Hiro is telling Cass that he has a lot of school stuff to catch up on, they hear a clunk from upstairs :-) Cass: "What was that?" Hiro: "...... Mochi :-) Ooh, that darn cat :-)" ...And then he sees the darn cat in question at his feet and has to quickly toss it upstairs :-D Cass has Hiro take a plate "for the road" and tells him not to work too hard :-)
In Hiro's bedroom, Bay is petting Mochi, moaning "Hairy baby" over and over :-) After finally getting Bay into the charger, Hiro lies down on his bed holding the microbot: "This doesn't make any sense :-/" After a really long beat for him to soak it in, Bay notices that Tadashi's bed is still vacant except for his cap... Time for another emotional scene, then...
Hiro has to bluntly and explicitly tell Bay of Tadashi's death because just saying he's gone just gets the response "When will he return?" Disney manages to make a robot stating the obvious emotionally devastating, as Bay points out that someone this young and healthy should have lived a reasonably long life (with the proper diet and exercise of course :-)) , and Hiro brings up the fire... and apropos of nothing, Bay responds "Tadashi is here."
Hiro: "People keep saying he's not really gone as long as we remember him... It still hurts" Bay: "I see no evidence of physical injury" Hiro: "It's a different kind of hurt" Bay: "You are my patient. I would like to help" Hiro: "You can't fix this one buddy" Bay considers that a challenge, so he downloads a database off the internet about dealing with personal loss (hopefully, the Hamadas' internet isn't data capped ;-))
Bay explains that treatments include contact with friends, compassion, and physical reassurance... so Bay contacts Tadashi's labmates over Hiro's objections ("Unbelievable"), before embracing Hiro: "You will be alright... There, there..."

...Then consoling him about the fire... but then Hiro begins to suspect foul play: "At the showcase, that man in the mask, he stole my microbots... and set the fire to cover his tracks... He's responsible for Tadashi..." So he decides he's gonna have to catch the guy...
After a slightly amusing interlude where the two sneak past Cass watching some late night flicks :-D they're in the garage, where Bay asks "Will apprehending the man in the mask improve your emotional state?" Hiro: "Absolutely" He announces that Bay's going to need some upgrades, and work on his moves, and begins by using a handheld scanner on Bay :-)
After lifting some moves off a kung fu video, he decides to do something about Bay's... physique, by 3D printing out some green armor and putting it on him. Bay has some concerns: "This armor may undermine my non threatening huggable design" "That's kinda the idea buddy... You look sick" "I cannot be sick; I am a robot" "It's just an expression :-)"
Hiro's finished making Bay some moves and saved them to a data card (even drawing a skull on it), but as he opens the card port, he sees Tadashi's card, and the underscore briefly goes wistful on us... before Hiro loads his card in. "I fail to see how karate makes me a better healthcare companion" "You wanna keep me healthy don't you? :-)" Hiro has Bay put those new moves through their paces on a bunch of pieces of wood... and then he abruptly has Bay get some gummy bears (:-D!)
After some more training, time for this film's equivalent of John Connor teaching Arnold to say "Hasta la vista baby" :-) Hiro: "Fistbump!!" Bay is confused: "...Fistbump is not in my fighting database" :-) Hiro explains that it's something people do when they're excited or pumped up, and gives him a step by step demonstration of the gesture. Hiro makes the exhale noise... and Bay interprets it as "Badala-dala" :-D before saying he'll add it to his caregiving matrix :-) Now, time to head out...
While they're making their way back to kabuki man's warehouse, we see a white car stop to notice and follow them. Ooh...
At the warehouse, kabuki man and his assembly line are nowhere to be found, but Hiro's still got the petri dish, and the microbot in it is indicating the direction towards the docks... Hiro finds himself running straight towards the water but luckily, Bay manages to stop him from falling into the bay: "Always wait one hour after eating before swimming" :-)
The microbot flies off into the distance, and they see kabuki man coming across the water, with his mass of bots carrying... something with that bird logo on it...
Baymax notices Hiro's increasing heart rate :-) Right as Hiro decides to have Bay use those upgrades, that white car suddenly catches up to them, catching Baymax midpose as if he's about to dance to that OK Go song :-D That white car... turns out to be Wasabi's, and he's arrived with Tadashi's labmates :-)
Not that that makes Hiro feel any more relieved, since he just wants them to get the heck out of here... Wasabi asks why he's out here, and Hiro's lame cover story is that he's having a walk to help with his prepubescent mood swings :-)
Wasabi and Gogo are surprised at Bay's new look... Gogo: "Why is he wearing carbon fiber underpants?" :-D As Bay points out he also knows karate, Hiro tells them that they should leave...
Honey: "Don't push us away Hiro, we're here for you. That's why Baymax contacted us :-)" Bay talks about how Hiro needs support from friends and loved ones, and this mess threatens to devolve into a mass therapy session, when Fred notices a container being lifted by the microbots: "Holy mother of Megazon!" :-D Fred's not sure if he's the only one seeing this, but Honey takes a photo with flash just to be sure :-)
Kabuki man pelts the container at the labmates, inducing a "Jonah Hill in Accepted" style squeal from Wasabi :-D before he notices Bay holding it up :-) (Huh, would a container really weigh less than 1000 lbs.? Apparently not :-/)
The labmates quickly get into Wasabi's car as Gogo quickly drags Hiro in, over his protests that Bay can handle the situation... and then Bay gets flung really hard, landing on Wasabi's sunroof :-D "Oh no..."
As Wasabi drives off, Gogo makes Hiro explain the deal with kabuki man, before having Wasabi make a hard left... smacking Fred into the side window :-D
Kabuki man is pursuing the labmates using the microbots as transportation, and as they're being chased, Fred recognizes what's going on: "We're under attack from a supervillain people, how cool is that? I mean it's scary obviously, but how cool? :-)" And then Wasabi stops at a red light :-D Gogo's starting to get ticked off: "There are no red lights in a car chase!!" The light turns green again and Wasabi hits the gas again...
Wasabi: "Why is he trying to kill us?" He actually sticks his head out the window to ask "Why are you trying to kill us?" :-D Fred: "Classic villain; we've seen too much..." Honey tries to be optimistic: "We don't know he's trying to kill us..." And then a car gets thrown at them: "He's trying to kill us!!!!" :-D
After outracing the tossed car, Wasabi has thecourtesy gall to switch on his turn signal while making a turn, saying he's legally required to do so :-D Gogo decides to take matters into her own hands, and slaps her bubble gum on his dash :-) You almost expect Rihanna's "Shut Up and Drive" to start playing as Gogo takes the wheel, leading to an much better car chase sequence :-) Essentially, she's Vin Diesel to Wasabi's Jimmy Kimmel :-)
After flying past kabuki man and his bots, Hiro continues to assure the others that Bay can protect him... and then the bots rip the door on his side open. Bay quickly grabs him to keep him from hitting the road in a most painful manner... and adds a PSA for buckling up on top :-D
Gogo jumps the car across railroad tracks, and they end up back on the waterfront, where a wave of microbots sweeps them up, and although Gogo manages to drive the car through the wall of bots, they end up driving off a pier into the ocean. Oops... Gang quickly abandons the car, and Bay his carbon fiber underpants to float them up to the surface, before informing Hiro that he has injuries that need attention, and a low body temperature... Luckily, Fred knows a place for them to hang out :-)
Coming up: Time for some superheroing :-)
