spiderbraids1x22: Storming Cloudtower / Mission to Cloudtower
Riven in his cell.
Unedited: Darcy gives him a long hallucination sequence with clones of Riven and some monsters. One even mimics his actions as if he was a reflection in a mirror.
Edited: The hallucination is cut out, and we only get him trying out some pickup lines for Darcy.
Tecna is crying...
Unedited: She says she has something in her eye (but lines like this don't fool the viewers anymore!)
Edited: She says that Bloom's odds of survival are impossibly low.
Bloom and Stella have left. The Army is attacking again.
Unedited: One of the battle scenes has Mirta projecting herself from the pumpkin (a la Nightmare Monster) to the balcony to see the battle, and then she protects Flora from a monster with a force field.
Edited: This scene is not present in the 4K version.
(NB: They show a shot of Kiko and Pepe running away from a monster instead of the first part of the Mirta footage [even adding voiceover to make it look like Flora is looking at them rather than Mirta]; and they still show the Mirta force field before then showing rest of the Kiko/Pepe scene)
The return of Riven. He explains his escape.
Unedited: After jumping off the window, a buttress on the CT building broke his fall, and he slid into the dump.
Edited: He used his cape as a parachute thing.

tf, correcting my comments: Riven and Darcy: I can see why the hallucination was cut. It would have been nice to see, but it's definitely cut-worthy material. Also, those weren't pick-up lines. They were insults. "You follow Icy around like a wannabe!" isn't going to make Darcy come running with open arms.
(NB: I suspect TF wasn't fully comprehending how much of a character moment the hallucination was for Riven :-\ It was more than just "nice to see" :-))
Tecna crying: 4Kids way better there. Again with the much better dialogue. The original just sounds a lot more boring.
Mirta: Again, I can see why this was cut. Would have been nice for Flora/Mirta fans, but what can ya do?
chrismactaggart: "You follow Icy around like a wannabe!" isn't going to make Darcy come running with open arms. what it would do is cause her to hex him into the next century. Which I would do.
And agreed - Tecna's original line sounds lame, and un-Tecna-ish.
Also:
- 4Kids includes a line about getting souvenirs from a dead planet over the originally-silent scene of the RF ship returning to Alfea
- In the original, Riven uses a random piece of metal to pick the lock on his door, while in 4Kids, Riven has Griffin spell the piece of metal before picking the lock with it (if I had to guess, maybe 4Kids didn't want children knowing that lock-picking is an actual thing?)
- In 4Kids, during the fight FG refers to different groups of random Alfea fairies and RF specialists as the lacrosse team, prom committee and honor squad (which feels a bit "zany" for me, and of course the fairies are the prom committee LOL)
