spiderbraids2x19: The Spy in the Shadows / Shadows in Bloom
The only notable edits I can think of are these.
Unedited: Bloom is infected by a Shadow Virus, and it stays that way through the episode.
Edited: Avalon first believes that Bloom was infected by a fogmiston virus, but at the end he announces that Icy infected her with the virus.
(Regarding her little astral journey... you'd think that the most horrible part of the trip, the dark shadows, would be one thing that she'd remember and be quick to mention...)
Tecna rants to Flora about Timmy. Another edit related to the edit from 2x10...
Unedited: T: "How can I like someone who behaves so... illogically?" F: "What exactly did he do?" T: "What he didn't do, you mean" F: "He's just shy, that's all" T: "Being shy is just an excuse. He's supposed to be a hero. If he wanted to do something, he'd do it!"
Edited: Tecna complains that everyone treats her like a computer. After Flora points out that she doesn't, Tec then narrows it down to Timmy, and then continues her rant saying that Timmy won't make the first move (the bulk of her big line is to the tune of, "Why doesn't he come up to me and say 'I'm here because I like you'?" [Timmy has just shown up and told Tec that FG called him here to do IT work for her]).
(NB: In the original Timmy actually was willing to talk frankly with Tecna: "I think we should have a talk. Do you have a second?" And also there's a brief freeze frame after Tecna walks off screen mid rant in the 4Kids version)
Genuinely funny line from the original: Stella... "Let's cut to the chase. What was your mom wearing?"
Two things that aren't different:
1. In both versions, Tecna DOES NOT say "Wait, Avalon sent her on the astral journey, and she turned evil? Maybe I was on to something after all..."
2. Also, Dark Bloom doesn't tie into Bloom conjuring dark energy in the CT exercise in 2x17. Given the use of a mind-control spell here, Avalon could have made Stella turn rogue. (If you're going to make a point of showing Bloom conjuring dark energy, you're going to have to use it later, and I thought this would have been perfect.)
(NB: A user on a now-defunct message board was somewhat disappointed they didn't tie in the 2x17 scene with this episode's plot)

Unedited: After Bloom hugs Lockette, there's a scene in the archives where the girls are putting the books back.
Concorda: Excuse me for a moment everyone: Now that the location of the archive is no longer a secret, there is absolutely no reason whatsoever why we can't all help clean up this mess.
(Bloom puts away a book)
Flora: We knew it wasn't really you doing all that mean stuff.
Musa: Yeah, but I thought that Timmy thing was really funny.
Tecna: I understand that Timmy can be really irritating sometimes, but why would you hang him upside down?
Bloom: You'd have to ask Dark Bloom, because this one doesn't have a clue.
(Gang laughs)
Edited: This scene was cut out entirely, so it goes from Bloom hugging Lockette to LD getting the Codex piece.
