Or, an imminent lack of Vision :-\
It's been quite a bit since I used cine film, and judging from this post I might not have the opportunity to use it for much longer :-\ (Petapixel article on why, but long story short, there are essentially two Kodaks, and the one selling regular film doesn't want the other one to sell cine film to anyone except film production companies) Anyways, this one's Vision3 500T (now THB 270), half-frame in Kodak H35, with the usual problems of having the scan returned as full frames (because my ECN2 lab only does it that way) where having bright scenes and dark scenes on the same frame result in over/underexposure in the scans :-\

Before I get going though, I had to make a DIY repair for the back door: The door came apart while I was loading the previous roll, and I noticed the problem... On the main body, there are little plastic bulges that serve to hold the back door... Well, in the little more than two years that I've had this camera, those bulges wore away/broke off, so I just put black electric tape over the exposed bulges to hold it in at first

Before loading this roll, as a more meaningful fix, I cut two bits of masking tape, and attached the bits to run from the film take-up chamber, over the location of those bulges, all the way to the outside, and then attached a piece of black electric tape over the outside parts to secure them better... Looking good, though the next time I loaded film was a bit of a hassle (and I had to load it twice, too :-\) but we'll get there when we get there :-) Also semi-obligatory film and camera shot :-)

Lizard at the pond

Less than an hour after the lizard photo, the 2025 Myanmar quake hit Bangkok (the lizard at the pond wasn't necessarily an omen; they hang out there a lot) People had to evacuate buildings, and eventually work was ended early that day

Traffic and crowds near MBK and Siam: The buildings were barred off from anyone entering, and because the metro and skytrain were closed, traffic around these shopping malls was so congested, it took three hours to travel one kilometer from Siam to less-congested streets on the bus (!)

One crane at a condo under construction broke off, and traffic had to be closed on a nearby street to have it removed the next day (right picture was shot first)

Back to normal, sort of: Flags near the indoor stadium

Former Thonburi Rama cinema, now clearer and more colorful, but no longer being used by a delivery service like the last time I shot them (Street View shows they vacated the premises between last June and November)

Artistic advertising display at The Old Siam Plaza

Birds near the office pantry during rain

New skytrain extension being built

Ending the roll with Urassaya Spermund doing press at a Bolon Eyewear event (plus crop :-))
