Feeling a little wistful

spiderbraidsWhile the Winx fandom is looking forward to a new era with the CG reboot, another quietly ended this past week...
After a previous brief outage in August 2023, it looks like The Yin Yang Couple, a blog centered around Aisha and Nex created by the former owner of another erstwhile Winx blog UnaDiNoi-Winx has finally expired for good (given that there had been no new posts since November 2022, a blog she'd created for her attempt at a non-Winx rewrite of these characters stopped having new posts since 2021 before expiring sometime in 2024, and the owner's personal free blog hasn't had any new posts since September 2023), ending an era of blogging about Winx that stretched back all the way to 2009 :-\ And given that she wrote in her last post "Winx Club doesn’t make me happy anymore. Not that I don’t have fond memories of it. Or that I don’t love Aisha and Nex anymore. I’m just sick of being a Winx fan", I can't see her being excited for the new reboot, even if she were to find out that it's now more true to the original format, rather than the self-contained preschool shorts format she'd originally speculated it would be (also, it looks like there's just Aisha and not Nex, so...)
I've made a colorized version of one of her arts... Well, I made it quite some time ago but never had any real occasion to post it, but decided to bring it out of mothballs and give it a little sprucing up... Fittingly enough, it's about missing an old friend, and is titled "Wistful":
