The Amazing Race Asia: Episode 1
Nov. 12th, 2006 01:27 pmSo, Asia gets its own version of The Amazing Race. This week, Malaysia.
1. So, I tune in, and I see that Thailand's team (Andy/Laura) is in last place making batik. At least they recovered to 7th.
2. Other tasks today: Go-kart 4 straight laps around Shah Alam Stadium. One team ends up doing 7 laps after being told to do four consecutive laps after coming in after doing just 3. :\
3. And the very first leg finish mat... results in a penalty for one of the Malaysian teams (Andrew/Syeon) for not completing the course properly (huh?) and the Indonesian team (Mardy/Marsio) getting the very first first place. TAR Asia's on a tight prize budget apparently: they're only competing for $100k, and there are no leg prizes.
4. Meanwhile, Sandy/Francecsa get the first last place... but are spared from elimination. They get the Bowling Moms penalty.
5. Allan Wu as the host. Not so sure about him.
