No, I'm not shilling for them, but I send an "I Wasn't Thinking" e-card through their website to [livejournal.com profile] eilonwe, and although I was expecting the worst, she was actually quite forgiving of me. Of course, it didn't hurt to have a cooldown period first (two weeks, in my case). Here's what I wrote...

Dear Lori,

As Bloom once said, everyone makes mistakes. Over the last two weeks, I've been thinking about those that I've made, and I've made my fair share of them over the past year or so that I've been exchanging emails with you. Despite all my mistakes, I still really do genuinely want to be your e-friend, and I think you're the best e-penpal I've ever had (especially since we share a love for Winx).

I apologize for many things that I've done, and there's a whole laundry list of them:

1. Bashing 4K, both directly and indirectly
2. Assuming it was fair game to review Michael's fanfics (and as Tecna and Stella have learned the hard way, it's never good to assume)
3. Also assuming that it was fair game to quote people without asking for permission first (this one's especially for chrismactaggart... tell her I said sorry)
4. Not being chatty enough at the winx_club community (I'd do _anything_ to return, and if I do I'll try my best to post positive and interesting stuff from now on, like posters and haikus, and I'll participate in others' threads more often, even if it is just to say "COOL!")
5. Flogging dead horses by dredging up old topics from my inbox to discuss with you
6. And in relation, my immensely terrible timing in dredging up an old topic two weeks ago... I'm especially sorry about that

I do admit that there are some days where I can't seem to do anything right, but I'm trying hard to be more sociable and less of a jerk. I'm trying hard to learn from my mistakes, and I'm willing to listen to people from now on.

I never meant to hurt your feelings, and I'm sorry that I did. I hope we can still be good e-friends at least. I'll try to treat you better from now on... this I promise you. Forgive me, please.

Your e-penpal,
spiderbraids

Okay, I didn't use my screen name in the sign-off, but whatev. She's willing to continue talking with me by e-mail and my journal, but not her [livejournal.com profile] winx_club community. Although I'd rather be part of the community as well (because my podcast could seriously use livening up), she has her points (she says it wouldn't set a good example, and she'd be questioned for letting me back in), and I'm fine with that.

Also, I made claims at one of Lori's other communities, [livejournal.com profile] winx_claims. Hover your mouse to see why I picked these:

She's chatty, and I promise to be more chatty about Winx

He used to work for the bad guys, now he's nice. Same deal here.

Oh, W.I.T.C.H. is far from boring. It's darker than Winx, which is something I give it a lot of credit for.

Which turns me off to it immediately, I'm afraid. I mean, even the palette is more pastel than bright.

(Looks at your W.i.t.c.h. post, makes reply)
