An Amazing Race double dip
Nov. 29th, 2006 09:47 amThis week on TAR 10: Morocco. This week on TAR Asia: Bali.
TAR 10 Morocco:
1. The heck is up with putting the Yield behind an Hours of Operation gate???
2. And once again, the Yield ends up being pointless, as the yielded mamas get their best finish. Although the 2nd place finish (and getting yielded by the BQ's) shows that they can't win any footraces.
3. Speaking of the BQ's, they're marked for elimination.
4. This week's Detour choices: Pot making and olive grinding. All chose the latter. This week's roadblock was a chariot race, no doubt an homage to the numerous films about Roman times filmed at Atlas Studios in Ouarazete, the location for the roadblock.
5. The mamas have a bad attitude about getting yielded. Hmm...
6. This week's prize is tied in to the lucky charms from the Antiques store in Ouarazete. J/T not only take first, but also get the right charm (it matches with the greeter), and a Sprint phone.
7. AXN Asia, we need to talk. CBS didn't put a commercial in the footrace. So why did you put one there?
8. Other highlight of the week: Earlier flight fake-out. At least Rob clarified it so it didn't bite him in the butt like another Rob.
TAR Asia Bali:
1. Sandy/Francesca continue to beg to make up for the 1st leg last place. They do well, getting a 3rd.
2. What a nasty Roadblock, having to find a small surfboard on the beach. The majority of the teams just took the 4 hour penalty. What does that say about this roadblock? Well, that needle in a haystack (heck, one contestant actually said that!) tasks suck.
3. Quote of the week: "We beat the ox and the kiwi"
4. Rest of the tasks: Meh, meh, meh.
5. Nice to see the Amazing Yellow Line get some employment in Asia...
6. Thai-wise, Andy and Laura are 7th. Again.
7. Out this week: Aubrey and Jacqueline. We got rid of the actress, whee!
