The Amazing Race is BACK!!!

spiderbraidsSo, The Amazing Race 10 (the new season of one of my favorite shows!) started on Sunday.
Thoughts:
1. Sarah: the new Charla.
2. The mid-leg elim: Eliminating not one, but TWO potentially interesting teams (the Arabs, and then team Apu) in the first leg is not cool. (Especially since they represented the diversity that CBS was trying to inject into the race.) Once again, we lose another religious minded team early (hello Avi and Joe!)
That said, if it eliminated a potentially ANNOYING team, it would be genius. (Also, I saw it coming. I read TeeVee.org's blurb saying "Without giving too much away [HAH!], one team discovers the hard way that just because there’s no pit stop doesn’t mean you’re safe from harm" and kinda guessed that there would be an early elim, and it was confirmed by reading a Television Without Pity forum post.)
3. "There will be surprises"... and it all starts with them heading westward instead of the east direction they've done in all of the previous regular editions. (TAR8 even took a "boomerang" route... east to India, then back west to America.)
4. So, while the Asians win the first Survivor: Cook Islands challenge, two of the three Asian teams get elimmed, in Asia to boot (the only remaining team is the Korean "Cho Bros" Erwin and Godwin).
5. Wall climb trouble with Lyn and Karlyn... having brief flashbacks to Linda and Karen and their wall climb.
6. More beauty queens! And for once, models that actually have some interesting behind them (hello druggies!). But another gay team?
7. Plus another dating team. Rob and Kimberly. Rob, 99.9 + 1 = 100.9. 'Kay?
8. Fish eyes. My dad told that the fish heads were an expensive food, and they should at least have eaten more of it. No one seemed to have problems eating the eyes though... I was expecting a bit more EEEWWW! (I'm Asian and even I EEEWWW! at the thought of eating fish eyes.)
